 Monday 30th June

I have been on Team RH since last September.  My weight loss has been steady but best of all my eating habits have changed for the better.  I eat much more healthily now. My new goal is to lose another half stone before Helen and Chris's wedding in August.  Do able -  maybe - watch this space.

I have also re-started my DDPY Yoga practice, I will be doing this on a custom basis swapping the basic programme items out for more targeted items as necessary.  Hopefully this will improve my flexibility and help with my body toning. You never know I might eventually win a t.shirt for 100,000 points.  Long way to go.

Went out in the evening with the dog round the village and then headed down the back road and threw in some Jog Scotland 30 secs walk 30 secs jog approx 10 times not going to be rigid.  This is an experiment and I will be taking it extremely easy because of my knees.

A more adventurous Sunday Dog walk than usual.

Cormilligan walk with the dog walk Sunday Crew.

Eunice wanted to visit Cormilligan today and couldn't of wished a better day for it.  Weather was perfect, beautiful blue sky, hot but not too hot.  Couldn't believe the amount of wildflowers a result Eunice says of there not having been sheep grazed there now for several years. I've also not seem so many Butterflies either.    She lived in the farm just before the start of the walk for more than twenty odd years so it was a bit of a nostalgic trip for her today.

Finn was off lead for most of the walk as there were no livestock about at all.  I did put him on the lead for short spells when passing some woods are there may have been deer and when I felt he needed to cool down a bit.  He was very good and came back everytime I called him.

Most of the route out to the old homestead was flat but the track did disappear which made walking a little bit more physical as we had to make our way through long grass and bracken. After reaching the homestead we headed slightly uphill to a gap in the trees where Cheryl our dogs and I waited in the cool of the trees for the other two to catch us up.  Sat for a while just chatting then carried on out onto the forest track and downhill towards the loch, all in all easy walking on this part.  Stopped at the bottom at the wee loch for the dogs to play in the water which they really enjoyed from there it was a short walk back to where we had left the cars.

Eunices watch said 3 and a bit miles min said just over 4 when I checked the route on OS mapping it kept defaulting to a route taking in the Old Church remains and St. Connals well neither of which we visited (that route was marking out at 5 miles).

I feel after today that Finn definitely has it within him to be an adventure dog, Roll on more adventures.
